You have style; even if you’re not sure what that style is chances are you probably just don’t know it yet. When designing a room take a look a yourself first. Your room should reflect who you are as a person. So what do you like to wear? Do you dress up a lot or are you more casual. Do you wear bright colors or more neutral tones? What about accessories do you pile them on or do you like a simpler look. You can translate this into your room design.
Start by gathering a few of your favorite things or items that are special to you. Maybe it’s a small replica of the Eiffel Tower you got on your honeymoon, your favorite pair of red patent leather heels, or a water color you painted of the beach. Think about why it is you like these items and think about how it can translate into designing your space. If it’s the red you like in your shoes use that as an accent color by adding red pillows to a sofa or red vases on the mantel. If it’s the relaxed feeling of the beach that you like translate that into a comfortable overstuffed sofa like the Thomasville Riviera Sofa (117911_455835DET) at McCreery’s Home Furnishings in Sacramento. The possibilities are endless there is no wrong choice!
The options may seem overwhelming and you might want someone to talk through your ideas with. The designers a McCreery’s Home Furnishings in Sacramento are always here to help you, whether it’s picking out furniture for a whole living room or simply adding a touch of flare to your home, McCreery’s has hundreds of furniture options to choose from that can fit into your design style.

I am Vicki Neese, an interior designer at McCreery’s Home Furnishing off Highway 80 (Business Route) in Sacramento, CA.

I’ve been in the furniture and design business for 20 years, and it is my pleasure to work at this 5-star furniture store and design center. We’re very excited to have Thomasville Furniture back on our floor. French-inspired furniture is hard to find, and Thomasville’s Vintage Chateau collection fits the bill. The collection includes bedroom, dining room, occasional and wall systems crafted in selected hardwood solids and rustic cherry veneers in a rich chocolate finish with accent pieces in black. The styling is classically French with gentle curves, shell design accents, burnished antique hardware, and just the right amount of tasteful carving.

Come in and see this lovely collection as well as a whole 60,000 square foot showroom of beautiful furniture from Thomasville and many other major manufacturers. I would be delighted to help you in your selection process.
